The highly anticipated TOGG project is approaching the end step by step. All of Turkey is waiting for the day when the first vehicle will come off the production line at the end of 2022. TSE President Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin said that when TOGG comes off the production line, the standards regarding the charging infrastructure are ready. Noting that TOGG is an eagerly awaited project, Şahin said, “The TOGG project is approaching the end step by step. It's progressing as planned. As we are all watching from the public, we are eagerly awaiting the day when the first vehicle will come off the line, around the end of 2022. However, it is useful to evaluate the system in general. TOGG will be electric as you know. We will see that all of the changes in energy consumption in the world have been applied technologically in TOGG and will continue to be implemented by being developed. “WE PUBLISHED A STANDARD ON CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE”
Stating that TSE has prepared two separate standards regarding the charging infrastructure, Şahin said, “TSE has prepared the standards to be used in preparing the charging infrastructure that falls under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, to which we are affiliated. It has published the Standard for Electric Vehicles and Electric Vehicle Charging Systems – Basic Terms and Definitions as the first standard. This standard is common terms, maybe something related to standards technology, but what should everyone understand from this business when they read it? It has published a standard that defines a general framework, the system, in terms of what will be its common terms. In addition, he prepared and shared with the public the Standard for Electric Vehicle Charging Units and Stations - Installation and Safety Requirements, regarding the way of installation of the charging stations to be established, their connection to the main grid, the problems there and how to solve them.”

Noting that they will continue to contribute to TOGG as an institution, Şahin said, “The day when TOGG, where we stand as TSE, is eagerly awaited, people who decide to drive that car when they get off the production line are able to use the vehicle on our highways with peace of mind without encountering any charging infrastructure problems, and they will also be satisfied. to ensure it is at a high level. I think that when demands and needs for other standards or criteria will arise, we follow the process very closely and try to be prepared in advance.
