National Electric Train Sets will be used in High Speed ​​​​Train Lines

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said that they will use national electric train sets on fast and high-speed train lines. Karaismailoğlu said, “We plan to complete the Train Set Project Prototype in 2022 and start mass production in 2023.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said that they will use the National Electric Train sets produced by TÜRASAŞ on fast and high speed train lines. Presenting his ministry's 2022 budget at the Parliamentary Plan and Budget Committee, Karaismailoğlu pointed out that the budget appropriations are approximately 71 billion TL. Karaismailoğlu said, “Along with 2 thousand 297 people employed by contractors at 107 thousand 698 construction sites across the country, approximately 241 thousand 272 people benefit from the job opportunities offered by transportation and communication”.

Karaismailoğlu said, "Despite the epidemic in 2020, there was no decline in domestic freight transport by rail," said Karaismailoğlu: "We increased the share of railways in investments from 2013 percent in 33 to 2021 percent in 48. This rate will be 2023% in 63,4. In the following years, we are working to shift 5 percent of the annual 30 thousand block train to Europe via China-Russia, which is designated as the northern line, to Turkey.”

Stating that they have started to reap the fruits of domestic and national railway moves, the Minister said, “We will now use the national electric train sets produced by TÜRASAŞ on high-speed and high-speed train lines. With the experience of national train sets, we started the Train Set Project studies at a speed of 225 km/h.”
