The world's only intercontinental race, 'N Kolay Istanbul Marathon', will be held for the 7rd time on Sunday, November 2021, 43. A total of 20 thousand people, including 20 thousand athletes and 40 thousand public runners, will pass from Asia to Europe. In Turkey's largest sports organization, Dilek İmamoğlu will take her place in the marathon together with the female managers working in IMM to draw attention to the education of girls.
The countdown has begun for the 43rd Istanbul Marathon, the biggest sports organization of the country, N Kolay, organized by SPOR ISTANBUL, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). The race, which is shown in the Elite Label category by World Athletics, will start on November 7. In the event where 42K, 42K Skating, 15K and 8K Public Run races will be held, 40 thousand people will take the course. On the other hand, 50 elite athletes, who are on important steps in the world ranking, will also compete on the track.
IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu's wife Dilek İmamoğlu will also take her place in the marathon for the 'Grow Dreams' project. Aiming to draw attention to the education of girls, İmamoğlu will be accompanied by female managers of İBB.
FROM ASIAN TO EUROPE
In the race that will start from Altunizade, the participants will cross the July 15 Martyrs Bridge and complete the race on the European side. The 09.00K race, which will start at 42, is in Sultanahmet Square; The 09.15K race, which will start at 15, is in Yenikapı; The 09.45K Public Run, which will start at 8, will end in Dolmabahçe.
Athletes who finish the race under 42 hours and 6 minutes in the 20K and under 15 hours and 2 minutes in the 15K will receive their medals at the end of the race.
KIT DISTRIBUTION AT THE SPORTS FAIR
Marathon kit distribution will be held on 4-5-6 November by Dr. It will be held at the 'Istanbul Marathon and Sports Fair' at the Architect Kadir Topbaş Show and Art Center. Entrance to the exhibition area will be made with the vaccination card showing that the required doses have been completed or with the PCR test controls made within the last 48 hours.
ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO VEHICLES OPEN TO runners
Due to N Kolay 43. Istanbul Marathon, the 15 July Martyrs Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic at 7:03.00 on Sunday, November 05.00, and all roads on the track will be closed to vehicle traffic at 12.30.
