Marmaray Breaks a Record in the Number of Daily Passengers

Marmaray, which is one of the most important urban transportation projects in the world as well as in Istanbul, connecting the continents of Europe and Asia with Istanbul under the sea, reached the highest number of daily passengers by carrying 5 thousand 567 passengers on 169 November.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Marmaray, operated by TCDD Tasimacilik AS, HalkalıIt has become the address of fast, comfortable and uninterrupted transportation by completing 76 stations on the 43-kilometer track on the Gebze line in 108 minutes.

Marmaray trains start their voyages as of 05.58:00.43 in the morning and continue their mobility on the railway until XNUMX:XNUMX the next day.

On 5 and 6 November, when heavy fog was effective in Istanbul, Marmaray formed the main backbone of Istanbul's urban transportation. Marmaray, which was used by 5 thousand 567 passengers on November 169, reached the highest number of passengers carried in one day.

While providing more than 60 thousand capacity with additional flights, 1 million 115 thousand passengers were transported in two days. The total number of passengers carried on Marmaray, which completed its 29th year on October 8, has reached 607 million as of today.
