A project worthy of Kayseri is rising rapidly," he said.

Mayor Büyükkılıç, who has been following the construction works of Kayseri Airport New Terminal Building and Apron Construction Project meticulously since the first day, examined the point reached in the construction works together with Provincial President Şaban Çopuroğlu, Deputy Secretary General Hamdi Elcuman, State Airports Authority Kayseri Manager Fatih Türkoğlu. received information from Project Manager Kaan Şengürkan and Project Control Officer Fatih Yıldırım. President Büyükkılıç and Provincial President Çopuroğlu, together with the accompanying delegation, toured the construction by wearing a hard hat and a work vest in terms of occupational safety. President Büyükkılıç, who made a statement on the last floor of the construction works, said, "We would like to thank each and every one of our President, Minister of Transport, ministers and deputies, especially with their instructions, who brought this beautiful work to our Kayseri."

President Büyükkılıç stated that the works for Kayseri Airport are continuing and the construction rate is around 40 percent, and said, “As it will be remembered from the statements of our Minister of Transport, an airport terminal building with a capacity of 8 million people is being built. This building will be operational towards the end of next year. Currently, the construction rate is around 37-40 percent. So it is running fast, there is no problem. While it was a construction area of 37 thousand square meters, it reached 51 thousand square meters. At the same time, our 4-storey car park was added to the car park. Thus, a project worthy of Kayseri will be realized. I would like to thank once again those who contributed. I say good luck to our city, whatever we do suits Kayseri."

AK Party Provincial Chairman Çopuroğlu emphasized that with the implementation of the project, passengers will be transported 5 times the population of Kayseri and said, “We are currently on the last floor of an airport project, 38 percent of which has been completed. This airport, which works together with beautiful, technical and knowledgeable technical teams, and which we hope will be delivered next year, will start to be used at the end of 2022. We are next to an airport that will carry 5 times the population of Kayseri with passengers. Everything has been thought of with its parking lot, aprons and bellows.”

Expressing that President Büyükkılıç gave a lot of effort, Çopuroğlu continued his words as follows:

“If God permits, we are following both the meetings with Memduh President and the press, that international companies are already holding talks to increase the number of passengers in Kayseri. The fact that instead of saying 'put additional flights to our Kayseri', they come to us and demand to add additional flights to us shows once again that Kayseri is a rising value. We thank those who contributed. Memduh President has been very busy with this job. He relented. Recently, the transfer of our Minister of Transport's allowance from 2023 to 2022 has been an igniting cartridge for this work. If God permits, it will be possible to see passengers getting on and off here these days next year.”
