100 million euro foreign borrowing request requested by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Kaynarca-Pendik-Tuzla metro line and 150 metro vehicles needed to be used in Sabiha Gökçen Airport Rail System Connection projects made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. It was approved by the Assembly.
The fifth session of the IMM November council meetings was held at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress Center Rumeli Hall under the chairmanship of Zeynel Okul Abidin, the 1st Deputy Chairman of the IMM Assembly. While many items on the agenda were discussed at the meeting, the Plan and Budget, and the Traffic and Transportation Commissions' foreign borrowing request of 100 million Euros for the purchase of 150 metro vehicles to be used in Kaynarca-Pendik-Tuzla Metro Line and Sabiha Gökçen Airport Rail System Connection Projects were also discussed.
The proposal passed the parliament unanimously. The Commission gave conditional approval to the proposal. In the commission report, it was stated that it was appropriate to authorize the IMM President, provided that the borrowing is done directly from multilateral investment and development banks and foreign state institutions or through Iller Bank.
