Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tourism Seychelles at Expo 2020. While this agreement once again demonstrates the airline's commitment to the island-nation, it also lays the groundwork for joint ventures to promote trade and tourism to the country.

The MOU was signed by Ahmed Khoory, Emirates' Senior Vice President of Western Asia and Indian Ocean Commercial Affairs, and Sherin Francis, Chief Secretary of Tourism Seychelles Tourism Department. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the presence of Sylvestre Radegonde, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, and Adnan Kazım, Emirates Commercial Affairs Director.

Ahmed Khoory, Emirates' Senior Vice President, Western Asia and Indian Ocean Commercial Relations, said: “Emirates has established strong ties with Seychelles since 2005 and this island-nation is trying to present a very important market to us. continues. The memorandum of understanding outlines activities that are beneficial to both parties in order to revive the country's commercial and tourism activities, including trade fairs, trade show trips, exhibitions and workshops.

Emirates began commercial operations in Seychelles in 2005, and the company currently operates daily flights to this island-nation with wide-body Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Emirates became the first international airline to relaunch passenger services to Seychelles in August 2020, coinciding with the country's reopening to international tourism. Since January 2021, Emirates has delivered approximately 90 million flights to this island-nation from more than 43.500 destinations, including high-end markets such as the United Arab Emirates, Germany, France, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Russia, Belgium and the United States.
