Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues to repair damaged traffic signs. The teams, who repair and replace the traffic signs in their own facilities, thus both recycle the material and save money.
Traffic signs are of great importance for safe transportation. The inability to read the traffic signs for any reason, which allows drivers to get information about the slope, bend, speed limit, etc., poses a great risk in transportation. Indicating that traffic warning signs, especially in rural districts, are damaged very often, the authorities stated that traffic signs are constantly checked and renewed. Every year, approximately 10 thousand traffic signs are renewed by the Metropolitan Municipality. The traffic signs, which were found to be broken, the writings erased or deformed during the inspections, are repaired and reassembled by the teams in a short time. In this way, the Metropolitan Municipality, which recycles the material, continues to maintain its environmentalist attitude.
