Ancient Tomb of Ming Dynasty Found in China

An ancient tomb was found at a construction site this time in northern China's Hebei province, where many archaeological studies are carried out. An ancient tomb believed to belong to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) was unearthed during excavations at the construction site, according to the Hebei Cultural Antiquities Protection department.

The octagonal tomb, with its exquisite brick carvings, was found very well preserved. Two coffins were discovered at the bottom of the tomb, side by side, each containing a skeleton. Along with the tomb were also uncovered a white glazed plate and a blue and white porcelain bowl, believed to date from the mid-Ming Dynasty, which has survived to this day without damage. The excavation site is located at a construction site in Qiuxian County. Experts said that this discovery will also enable other burial studies in the region.
