Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to support the cleaning services of district municipalities with modern vehicles. The Metropolitan Municipality recently donated 10,5 garbage trucks, which it bought with a cost of 15 million liras, to the district municipalities.

Finally, 10 state-of-the-art garbage trucks, purchased at a cost of 500 million 15 thousand liras, were donated to district municipalities. Reminding that İzmir Metropolitan Municipality donated 23 garbage trucks to Buca Municipality this year, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Machinery Supply and Repair Department Head Murat Koçak said, “We provided vehicle support of approximately 30 million liras to district municipalities with the newly donated vehicles. We determined the distribution of garbage trucks according to the population density of the districts. Of the 15 newly distributed garbage trucks, 9 have a volume of 13 cubic meters and 6 have a volume of 8 cubic meters. We are working for a cleaner İzmir”. New vehicles were donated to Karaburun, Dikili, Foça, Seferihisar, Menderes and to Balçova, Kemalpaşa, Tire and Beydağ counties in need of vehicles, in order to increase the service capacity, especially in tourism regions with increasing population density in the summer months.
11 thousand 500 garbage containers were also distributed
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality also donated a total of 30 new garbage containers to 5 district municipalities in September. The number of donated garbage containers reached 500 with 6 thousand garbage containers distributed last year. The distribution of garbage containers was determined according to the population density of the districts. The capacity of galvanized metal garbage containers conforming to TSE is 11 liters.
