Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that they have completed the works one after the other in the provinces where the flood disaster has occurred, and announced that they will open the Ayancık Terminal Bridge, which was completed in 80 days, into service tomorrow.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu gave information about the work done in the flood area in his written statement. Noting that the biggest flood and landslide disaster of recent years has been experienced in Kastamonu, Bartın and Sinop regions, Karaismailoğlu stated that the wounds were healed one by one.
Underlining that the temporary bridges were built in a very short time with the road paving works in the damaged sections, the destructions on all routes were eliminated and safe transportation was ensured, Karaismailoğlu reminded that they opened the Çatalzeytin Bridge, which was completed in a record time of 52 days.
WORK CONTINUES ON ŞEVKİ ŞENTÜRK BRIDGE
Noting that works are being carried out in Kumluca-2, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu stated that bridge constructions are continuing in Sinop Ayancık. Reminding that the İkisu Bridge between Ayancık Türkeli and the Terminal and Şevki Şentürk Bridges in the city center of Ayancık were destroyed in the flood disaster, Karaismailoğlu continued as follows:
“With a total length of 4 meters with 110 spans, the Terminal Bridge has an arch appearance by creating a level difference of 0,6 meters between the side piers and the middle piers. We will put the bridge, which was completed in 80 days, into service tomorrow. Work continues on the Şevki Şentürk Bridge. Bored pile construction continues on the 5-span Şevki Şentürk Bridge with a total length of 144 meters. The bridge is expected to be completed on 20 December. The Ikisu Bridge, with a total length of 5 meters with 140 spans, is also planned to be completed in March 2022.”
ROAD WORKS CONTINUE TOGETHER WITH BRIDGES
Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, said, “We will complete and put into service the Kavlakdibi Bridge on December 10 and the Azdavay Bridge on December 30,” and stated that road works continue in Sinop, Bartın and Kastamonu as well as bridges.
Explaining that various sections of the Ağlı-Azdavay junction-Şenpazar road along with Kastamonu-İnebolu Road and Devrekani-Çatalzeytin Road were made, Karaismailoğlu stated that the filling works between Boyabat-Ayancık and the repair of the 4-kilometer section between İkisu Bridge and Yenikonak are continuing. Karaismailoğlu said, "In our province of Bartın, along with the construction of Kavlakdibi, Kirazlı, Kumluca-1, Kumluca-2, flood damage construction works on the Kozcagiz-Kumluca-Abdipaşa Road are continuing at great speed."
