Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality teams are working intensively within the scope of the Akçaray tram line project to be extended from Beachyolu to Kuruçeşme. The teams of the Metropolitan Science Affairs Department, which installed another new pedestrian overpass on the Izmit Kuruçeşme D-100 in the past weeks, carried out the assembly of the new pedestrian overpass in front of Izmit High School with a 10-hour work at night this weekend.
54 METERS LONG MODERN OVERPASS
Metropolitan teams show maximum effort in project work so that traffic is not disrupted and citizens do not experience difficulties. The new and modern pedestrian overpass in front of Izmit High School, which was built within the scope of Kuruçeşme Tram Line project, was installed this weekend with a 10-hour night shift connecting Saturday to Sunday. Within the scope of the work, the main body platform of the overpass, stairs and elevator towers were installed. The modern pedestrian overpass, which will be put into service with the completion of the ground work, has a length of 54 meters and a width of three meters.
290 METERS LENGTH TRAM OVERPASS
The existing Akçaray Tram Line will be connected to Kuruçeşme by passing from Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of D-100 upon completion of the works. In order to provide this transition, the Tramway Overpass with a length of 290 meters and a length of 9 legs and 8 spans is being built. While the production of bored piles for the construction of the middle legs of the tram overpass continues, elevation concrete production is carried out on some legs.
TRAM LINE WILL REACH 23,4 KILOMETERS
With the completion of the Kuruçeşme tram line, the length of the Akçaray tram line will reach a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters. The single-line length of the tram will reach 3 kilometers, with a 23,4-kilometer single-line warehouse area. With Kuruçeşme station, the number of stops will be 16.
