HUMAN AND SAFETY ARE AT THE FOREIGHT IN THE PROJECT

The master plan, which was prepared with the vision of “to ensure the adoption of the bicycle as a type of urban transportation for everyone and its integration into the public transportation system”, will have an inclusive content that puts people at its center.

The plan, in which all the necessary measures for safe driving were taken, was also prepared by taking into account the opinions of experts on many issues, from the need for parking spaces to how the population growth rate and bicycle usage rates would change, from the habits of cyclists to their usage preferences.

Within the scope of the "Ankara Bicycle Strategy and Master Plan", the stations on the routes determined by the field investigation will also be integrated into public transportation vehicles.

BICYCLE MASTER PLAN ALSO SUPPORTS ANKARA CLIMATE ACTION PLAN

While the master plan was being prepared, the opinions of approximately 10 thousand capital city residents were obtained through an online survey; Transportation habits, their approach to cycling and their evaluations on bicycle networks were also taken into consideration.

The "Ankara Bicycle Strategy and Master Plan", which aims to develop cycling culture in the capital, establish an environmentally friendly bicycle network, increase mobility and urban health in the city, also supports the ongoing "Ankara Climate Action Plan".
