In addition to these lines, the length of 14 different rail system projects that we continue to build as the Ministry reaches 185 kilometers. The length of the rail system built by our Ministry in Istanbul, the pearl of the Bosphorus, the capital of the world, is 80 kilometers. More importantly, the total length of our 7 separate large rail system lines, which we are still passionately running in beautiful Istanbul, is 103 kilometers. Along with our Beşiktaş-Gayrettepe-Kağıthane-Eyüp-Istanbul Airport Metro line, our other lines are under construction; Pendik-Tavşantepe-Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro line, Bakırköy -Bahçelievler-Güngören-Bağcılar Kirazlı Metro line, Küçükçekmece Halkalı-Basaksehir-Arnavutkoy-Istanbul Airport Metro line, Altunizade - Camlica - Ferah Mahallesi - Bosna Boulevard Metro Line, Başakşehir-Pine and Sakura City Hospital-Kayaşehir Metro line and Kazlıçeşme - Sirkeci Rail System and Pedestrian Focused New Generation Transportation Project. 96 PERCENT OF THE LINE COMPLETED

“We are the representatives of service politics, not heroism. We are in pursuit of increasing comfort and speed in the public transportation of Istanbul, the world city. We aim to build a public transportation system where our Istanbulites do not have to push the busses that break down. As a result of this desire, our love; As the Ministry, we will have built half of our favorite Istanbul's rail system network. The new projects we have done and will do will continue to breathe life into Istanbul's public transportation system.” Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport, continued his speech as follows:

“Our Gayrettepe-Kağıthane-Eyüp-Istanbul Airport Metro line, where the train is tested, is an important 9-kilometer metro project with 37,5 stations. As you know, the first rail welding of our line was made on January 18, 2020. We carried out the completion program of the TBM tunnels with the presence of our President. We put our train sets on the rails in four stages. Tests were carried out with a total of 10 different train sets. Our rail laying works have been completed, together with the under-rail concrete and precast panel manufacturing and assembly. Tunnel and reinforced concrete fine workmanship continues. Fine work and environmental arrangements continue intensively at our Kağıthane, Hasdal, Kemerburgaz, Göktürk, İhsaniye and Airport stations. Our line, which is planned to serve 600 thousand passengers a day, is 96 percent complete as of now. Considering the future needs of our Istanbul Airport, in the Airport section of our line; We designed three separate stations for Istanbul Airport, Terminal-2 and Cargo Terminals.”

METRO LINE WILL HAVE THE FIRST LOCAL SIGNALIZATION SYSTEM OF OUR COUNTRY

Emphasizing that with the Gayrettepe-Kağıthane-Eyüp-Istanbul Airport Metro line, they brought many breakthroughs and firsts to Istanbul and Turkey, and that they broke records, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We broke world records several times in this metro line, in daily, weekly and annual TBM progress. . Our line, which will have the title of 'Turkey's fastest metro' with 120 kilometers per hour, is also the longest metro that was tendered at once. With this feature, our project, in which 10 TBMs are manufactured simultaneously, stands the test. Our metro line, which broke a record with its depth of close to 72 meters at Gayrettepe station, is also a first with the precast panel in railway superstructure production. In the axis of national independence and national economy, we continue to increase the rate of our domestic and national products in public transportation investments, as in every field, despite domestic and foreign conflicts. Our metro line, which includes the smart tunnel concept, will have the first domestic signaling system of our country and will be a good example of our domestic and national move. In our vehicles that will serve on our line, at least 60 percent of the parts and products that we produce with our own means will be domestic. In our line where our domestic motor trains will operate, signaling, electricity and batteries will also be domestic. Vehicles with the feature of being the fastest metro in Turkey with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour will be used. Ergonomic interior designed vehicles will be used to meet the new generation transportation needs. Our line will also have luggage, bicycle and scooter fastening areas. Thanks to the signal system produced entirely by Turkish engineers, our trains will provide safe travel at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

OUR LINE, REFLECTING THE NEW TURKEY, STARTS WITH USER-FRIENDLY FEATURES

Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “Our line, which reflects the new Turkey with all its features; It will take its place among the works of Turkish engineering, which stands out with its user-friendly features, is integrated with alternative transportation vehicles, and uses technology for the speed and safety of our passengers. In addition, in the construction of our line; Along with 122 escalators, 45 elevators were manufactured. Our Beşiktaş-Gayrettepe-Kağıthane-Eyüp-Istanbul Airport Metro Line, which is also an integrated line; At Kagithane Station KabataşIt is connected to the Mahmutbey Metro line. WE AIM TO OPEN THE LINE TO THE SERVICE OF ISTANBUL CUSTOMERS IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2022

Pointing out that Gayrettepe-Kağıthane-Eyüp-Istanbul Airport Metro Line will provide convenience, safety and speed in transportation between the city center public transportation service and the airport, as well as providing very serious savings during operation, Karaismailoğlu said, “With the line coming into service, between 2024-2043; We anticipate that the total cost of saving will be approximately 2 billion 640 million Euros in terms of road maintenance and operation, in terms of accident earnings, air pollution, noise, nature and green land costs, and time savings. In today's test drive, we will conduct trials on the Gayrettepe-Kağıthane-Eyüp-Istanbul Airport metro line. We will reach the Istanbul Airport station by covering the 30-kilometer distance in 30 minutes. According to the results of the signaling and other system security tests of our line between Kağıthane and Istanbul Airport, we aim to open our line to the service of Istanbulites in the first quarter of 2022. Then, in 2022, we will complete the construction of our Gayrettepe Station and come to the testing phase.”

WE DON'T VALUE DAILY POLEMS WHILE WORKING HARD FOR OUR COUNTRY

Karaismailoğlu said, “As we talk about the convenience of these beautiful projects that are for the benefit of Istanbul and Istanbulites, from the study to the tender, from the construction to the test drives, from the operational savings to our people, our excitement increases even more” and concluded his speech as follows:

“We are calling out to the people of Istanbul; On the one hand, those who work hard for new and useful projects, on the other hand, those who organize groundbreaking ceremonies. On the one hand, those who build new metro lines quickly, on the other hand, those who pour excavation on the metro line under construction. On the one hand, those who work day and night, on the other hand, those who cannot even maintain their buses, causing them to stay on the road. On the one hand, we, who see service to the public as service to God, and on the other hand, those who drag Istanbul into the whirlpool of failure with unqualified staff. With the support and will of our people, we produce projects that will carry Turkey into the future and achieve its goals, on the other hand, those who threaten those who undersign these successful projects and investors. On the one hand, we, who strive to save the Bosphorus from all kinds of disasters, on the other hand, do not know how to write letters to foreign powers, disregarding the safety of the lives of millions in and around the Bosphorus. It is possible to increase such comparisons much further. However, we do not value daily polemics while we are working hard for our country. We don't have time for this, nor do we intend to. We warn the thieves of labor, those who are greedy for power and are willing to cooperate with all kinds of dirty focus: our people, of course, see very well those who bring the water and those who break the jug. We closely follow those who do not serve the world's largest and most beautiful city, who are suffering and who want to move them behind the times.”
