They do not leave animals unattended, they come to their rescue in 81 provinces of Turkey. The Environment, Nature and Animal Protection Police, which was established by the Ministry of Interior last year, has carried out important works to prevent violence against animals in a year.

Special teams, where veterinary graduates were accepted on a voluntary basis, rescued 57 animals in Istanbul.

Pitbull dogs, known as banned breeds, made up 15 of the rescued animals.

People Who Abuse Animals Do Not Go Unpunished

The teams reach the scene in a short time via the photo and location information sent to them via the application.

Action was taken against those who mistreat animals, perpetrate violence, produce and sell dangerous breeds, and those who hit stray animals and run away with their vehicles. Within a year, 1 people were fined over 166 thousand liras.

The confiscated animals were taken under temporary protection in animal shelters in the districts after their treatment.
