New Sports Centers for 9 Thousand People in 40 Districts of Istanbul

İBB renewed and opened 40 sports centers with a total capacity of 11 thousand people in order to add movement to the lives of more Istanbulites. In the centers where all sports equipment and equipment are renewed, gymnastics in many branches such as fitness, pilates and steap aerobics can be done.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) opened new sports fields for more Istanbul residents to do sports. 9 sports centers in 11 districts were renovated by the IMM Youth and Sports Directorate and offered to the use of Istanbul residents. The number of centers brought to Istanbul will increase to 2022 with the one planned to be opened at the Great Istanbul Bus Terminal in January 12. Istanbul will have a new sports area of ​​4 thousand 314 square meters. The number of sports facilities served by IMM will reach 30 in 63 districts.

RENOVATED FROM TOP TO DOWN

İBB started extensive renovations in the sports centers that previously served under İSMEK. It was aimed to increase the service quality and comfort level, and to enable the members to do sports in a more modern and contemporary environment. With the completion of maintenance and repair works, all sports equipment and equipment in the centers were renewed.

OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK

All Istanbul residents aged 16 and over can do sports at the centers operated by the İBB subsidiary SPOR ISTANBUL. The centers, which have a monthly capacity of 40 thousand members, provide service between 07.00-22.30 on weekdays and between 09.00-19.00 on weekends.

7 BRANCHES WITHOUT MACHINE

IMM Sports Centers, where orientation and in-service trainings are organized for the professional and personal development of the sports trainers in charge, have 12 fitness centers, 13 studio rooms and 1 spinning hall. Those who come to the centers can do fitness, pilates, aero dance, step aerobics, functional training, spinnig and tabata exercises in the company of expert trainers.
