Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said that they started artificial snow work in Erciyes Ski Center, one of the most important ski centers in Turkey and the world, and they prepared Erciyes for the season.
President Büyükkılıç, the symbol of Kayseri, in the field of mountaineering and winter sports, 102 ski tracks of 34 kilometers, 19th mechanical facilities and artificial snow on the slopes of Erciyes Ski Center, one of the important centers of Turkey, this year, as every year. Emphasizing that they have started their journey, he said, “We are preparing Erciyes, which is the pearl of Kayseri, which is in the heart of Anatolia, in the middle of its geographical location, for the season, and we have started our artificial snowing works in accordance with the weather temperatures”.
Büyükkılıç stated that Erciyes, which has the title of the first in the Central Anatolia Region and the fifth largest mountain in Turkey, will be flooded with visitors in terms of both winter tourism, mountain climbing and highland tourism in 12 months of the year. Tens of thousands of people fill our ski areas daily during the season. Erciyes, which we expect to have the highest occupancy rate in our hotels this year, will be the favorite of our foreign guests.
President Büyükkılıç added that the tourist potential to come to the ski resort will continue to increase with charter flights from abroad, especially from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Czechia and Belarus, and that they are excitedly waiting for the season to start at Erciyes Ski Center.
