Izmir Metropolitan Municipality built a new highway bridge over the Dikili Bademli Stream to make vehicle and pedestrian transportation safe. The bridge, which was put into use, cost 1,8 million liras.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues its investments in 30 districts with the aim of increasing the quality of life of the citizens. Within the scope of these works, old bridges and culverts damaged by floods are renewed, making transportation safe, convenient and comfortable. Finally, the Metropolitan Municipality renewed and expanded the highway bridge on the 1st Street, which is one of the important transportation axes of the Bademli District in Dikili. Within the scope of the work carried out by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Science Affairs, the old bridge on the stream was demolished and a new bridge was built in its place.

Project revised, fruit trees preserved

The width of the bridge was increased from 7 meters to 12 meters; Sidewalks were also built for safe transportation of pedestrians. During the construction of the 30-meter-long bridge, the project was revised so that the trees in the region were not damaged, and one of the bridge piers was shifted 70 cm to the south. Thanks to this change, dozens of fruit trees were saved from being cut down. The highway bridge over the stream connecting Bademli District and Yahşibey District was put into service with an investment of 1.8 million liras.
