China Logistics Sector Sustains Its Growth Against New Cases

In a statement made today by the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation, it was stated that the logistics industry developed steadily in October. In the statement, it was reported that the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) in China decreased by 0,5 points compared to the previous month and reached 53,5 in October. The storage index also increased by 3,2 points compared to the previous month and reached 54,2.

He Hui, Vice President of the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation, pointed out that China's LPI remained at a positive level despite a slight decrease in October, noting that this reflects the stability of consumption demands in the country.

Pointing out that Kovid-19 cases have reappeared in some regions of China and related costs have increased, He said that these affected the production capacity of some manufacturers, which led to a decrease in logistics demands, so logistics activities slowed down somewhat compared to last month.
