According to the data of Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB), the exports of the automotive industry in October decreased by 11 percent to 2,6 billion dollars. In addition, the share of the sector, which ranks first in Turkey's exports, in total exports was 12,5%. The average monthly export of the sector in the first 10 months was 2,4 billion dollars.

OIB Chairman of the Board Baran Çelik said, “Although we experienced a decline in October, we reached the second highest monthly export figure this year. At the same time, we reached an above-average figure this year with an export of 2,6 billion dollars in October. Although our exports decreased in all main product groups last month, we achieved a remarkable increase of 32 percent to Russia.”

According to the data of Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB), the automotive sector, which has been the leading sector of Turkey's exports for 15 consecutive years, decreased by 10,6 percent to 2,6 billion dollars in October. Ranking first in Turkey's exports, the sector's share in total exports was 12,5%. Automotive industry exports in the January-October period this year, on the other hand, took the first place in the country's exports with an increase of 19 percent and 23,9 billion dollars. The average monthly export of the sector in the first 10 months was 2,4 billion dollars.

6 percent decline in the largest product group Supply industry

In October, the export of the Supply industry, which again constitutes the largest product group, decreased by 6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and became 949 million dollars. In October, exports of Passenger cars decreased by 12,5 percent to 940 million dollars, exports of Motor Vehicles for the Transport of Goods decreased by 19 percent to 467 million dollars, Bus-Minibus-Midibus exports decreased by 34 percent to 107 million dollars, while tractor exports increased by 57 percent to 110 million dollars.

While exports to Germany, which is the country with the most exports in the Supply Industry, decreased by 10 percent, 11 percent to Italy, 10 percent to the USA, 30 percent to Spain, 60 percent to Romania, 29 percent to Slovenia, another important market. Exports decreased by 45 percent to Morocco, 39 percent to Russia, 86 percent to Israel, and 65 percent to Iran.

25 percent decrease in exports to France, which are important markets in passenger cars, 28 percent to Italy, 13 percent to Poland, 16 percent to Slovenia, 29 percent to Egypt, 51 percent to Israel, 30 percent to Spain, and Sweden Exports increased by 55 percent to Turkey, 16 percent to the Netherlands, and 61 percent to Morocco.

In Motor Vehicles for Carrying Goods, exports decreased by 10 percent to the United Kingdom, 11 percent to Italy, 40 percent to Slovenia, 33 percent to Belgium, 15 percent to France, 34 percent to Germany, and 32 percent to Spain. Exports increased by 658 percent to Ireland and 127 percent to Morocco.

In the Bus Minibus Midibus product group, there was a 31 percent decrease in Italy, 65% in Germany, a 67 percent decrease in Georgia, and an increase of 74 percent in Azerbaijan, which are the countries with the highest exports.

Germany is once again the largest country market

While the biggest country market was Germany in October, automotive exports to this country decreased by 13 percent and amounted to 353 million dollars. Exports to France amounted to 16 million dollars with a decrease of 287 percent, and to the United Kingdom, which is the largest country market, in September, with a decrease of 6 percent, to 261 million dollars. While exports to Italy, which is one of the important markets, decreased by 19 percent, to Slovenia by 28 percent, to Belgium by 15 percent, to the USA by 17 percent, to Israel by 37 percent, to Romania by 36 percent and to Egypt by 19 percent, Russia Exports increased by 32 percent to Ireland and 89 percent to Ireland.

Exports to the EU fell 12 percent

Exports to European Union Countries, which are the largest market on the basis of country group, decreased by 12 percent in October and became 1 billion 754 million dollars, while the share of this market in total exports was 67 percent. Exports to the Commonwealth of Independent States increased by 10 percent, to Other American Countries by 82 percent, and to the Middle East Countries by 33 percent.
