Thanks to the “Grow Your Dreams” project, 300 girls will be provided with educational scholarships. With the project spearheaded by Dilek İmamoğlu, 300 girls got the opportunity to receive scholarships together with the 'Istanbul Foundation' with the sales revenue of the book 'Inspiring Steps'. The evaluation of the scholarship applications made online between October 11 and October 21 has been completed. The girls who were entitled to receive a scholarship were determined.

In order to ensure that girls live under equal conditions and contribute to their education, the 'Grow Your Dreams' project, led by Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu, started to bear its first fruits. With the sales revenue of the book 'Inspirational Steps', which was announced last March, scholarships will be distributed to 300 girls studying at secondary school, high school and university. Girls who apply between October 11-21 will be one step closer to their dreams with the scholarship opportunity provided. The scholarships applied by 4 female students residing in Istanbul will be given to 543 female students.

Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu, announcing the scholarship together with the 'Istanbul Foundation' on the '11 October International Day of the Girl Child', signaled that they will reach more girls in need by saying “this is a start”. He conveyed the message of a just, equal world. Dilek İmamoğlu, talking about the importance of today's declared by the UN to support girls in education, nutrition and civil rights, said, “Unfortunately, our girls are at a disadvantage in terms of education compared to boys in our country. However, nations that cannot educate their girls deprive their next generations of many opportunities,” he said.

Emphasizing that generations are educated by women, İmamoğlu pointed out that women's education is the basis of development. Calling the whole society for an equal society and a brighter future, İmamoğlu addressed the girls by saying 'Enlarge Your Dreams'.

APPLICATIONS MADE ONLINE, EVALUATIONS ENDED

Girls in need and their families made their applications from the website of the Istanbul Foundation, istanbulvakfi.istanbul, between October 11 and October 21. Girls residing in Istanbul and completing the information in the application form on the website; The number of people living in the family and their economic conditions were evaluated. Our young university girls are required to declare that they are studying at a state university. There will also be a quota for girls in the families of our martyrs and veterans.

As a result of the process completed today, our Grow Your Dreams Scholarship is starting to reach our girls. We announced on the International Day of the Girl Child that we would give scholarships to 200 female students studying at secondary school, high school and university, with the income from the sale of our Inspirational Steps Book, the first product of our project, and with the contributions of our valuable donors. 4 students who meet the application conditions applied for our scholarship. With the contribution of many of our donors in this process, we increased the number of our students from 543 to 200. A heartfelt thank you to all our donors. As of November, we are starting to deliver our scholarship to 300 female students. The happiness I experience is indescribable. The 'Inspirational Steps' book, which collects 40 inspiring women's stories from 40 authors, provides hope for the education and future of girls.
