International Forwarding and Logistics Service Providers Association UTIKAD met with Diyarbakır Logistics Center (DLM) officials on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Cavit Uğur, General Manager of UTIKAD, Secretary General of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Ayhan Kardan, Secretary General of Karacadağ Development Agency Dr. Hasan Meral, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Department Head Hayrettin Bahçivancı, Karacadağ Development Agency Diyarbakır Investment Support Office Coordinator Diyadin İnan and Consultant Atilla Yıldıztekin exchanged views on Diyarbakır Logistics Center and evaluated cooperation opportunities.

At the beginning of the meeting, Advisor Atilla Yıldıztekin, Secretary General of Karacadağ Development Agency Dr. Hasan Meral and other officials gave brief information about the Diyarbakir Logistics Center (DLM) and shared the information that a tender will be made for the construction of the center on October 15, 2021.

Consultant Atilla Yıldıztekin stated that the works for Diyarbakır Logistics Center started in 2013 and that the tender process was reached upon the completion of the necessary studies and preparations; He stated that the developments in logistics and world trade were reflected in the works during this process and that the DLM project was prepared by an experienced project team and approved by the competent authorities.

UTIKAD General Manager Cavit Uğur conveyed the current developments in trade and logistics activities in Turkey and the world before and after the pandemic and gave information about the Eskişehir Hasanbey Logistics Center Evaluation Report previously published by UTIKAD.

Opinions were exchanged on what kind of contributions UTIKAD could make to the region and DLM. DLM delegation thanked the training, knowledge and experience transfer suggestions offered by UTIKAD and stated that UTIKAD's support is important for the region and for them.
