The Turkish Aerospace Industry Flight Academy, which is the only approved helicopter flight training academy in Turkey and has been working since 2010, has performed 11 thousand hours of flight in 12 years. The Flight Academy, which has given 2010 civil pilot licenses since 29, has trained a total of 331 pilots.
The Flight Academy, authorized by the Ministry of National Education and the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, meets the pilot training and civilian pilot helicopter training needs of helicopters produced by the Turkish Aerospace Industries. The Flight Academy subjects applicants for helicopter pilots to intensive theory and flight training.
Trainings include Private Helicopter Pilot License (PPL-H) Course, Examiner Course, Commercial Helicopter Pilot License (CPL-H) Course, Modular Commercial Helicopter Pilot License (CPL-H) Course, Helicopter Flight Instructor (FI-H) Course , Aircraft Type Rating Course, Night Flight Training (N-VFR) and Type Rating Instructor.
Turkish Aerospace Industries General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil Flight Academy talked about its vision and activities as follows: “We aim to make our Flight Academy a helicopter training center not only in the country but also in the foreign regional geography. We aim to contribute to the development of civil aviation and to become a world brand with the quality of the trainings it provides. In the coming period, we plan to provide pilot trainings, including our original aircraft, starting from the basic stage, both at home and abroad.“
