Coastal Wind-9 Operation Started in 2 Provinces of Tourism Region

Within the scope of the fight against organized crime organizations by the Department of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime under the coordination of the Ministry of Interior;

Before the tourism season, a simultaneous Coastal Wind operation was carried out in 21.05.2021 provinces, including our coastline provinces and other touristic cities, on 8. .

As we approach the end of the tourism season, for criminal groups that are engaged in local and regional organized crime activities in our provinces where domestic and foreign tourists show great interest during the season and it is understood that they are supplying weapons to these criminal organizations; The Coastal Wind-2 operation was launched to cover our cities on the coastline and other touristic metropolises.

In this context, in line with the instructions of the authorized Provincial Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and under the coordination of the KOM Department;

A total of 9 identified as posing a threat to public security and peace by committing the crimes of 'Establishing an Organization to Compromise, Looting, Usury, Threat and Arms Smuggling' in 183 provinces, namely Antalya, Aydın, Adana, Bursa, Çanakkale, İzmir, Kocaeli, Mersin and Muğla. On 05.10.2021, simultaneous planned operations, codenamed Sahil Rüzgârı-2, were carried out against the suspect.
