According to the information obtained from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure officials; A total of 210 vehicle inspection stations, including 75 fixed, 5 mobile, 18 motorcycles and 308 tractors, are in service throughout Turkey. This year, the number of mobile inspection stations was increased by 1 and the number of tractor inspection stations by 5 units. A total of 3 personnel, of which 109 are technical personnel, serve at vehicle inspection stations.

Between January 1 and September 29, 10 million 332 thousand 398 vehicles were inspected at vehicle inspection stations. Of the 8 million 76 thousand 372 vehicles that entered the first inspection, 2 million 256 thousand 26 remained for repeat inspection. After removing the defects of 2 million 197 thousand 563 vehicles, the inspections were approved.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu drew attention to the Regulation on the Opening, Operation and Vehicle Inspection of Vehicle Inspection Stations published in January 2021, and said, “With this Regulation, it is possible to have the inspection of the vehicles remaining from the first inspection done at all vehicle inspection stations across the country. On the other hand, the inspection capacities of the mobile inspection stations have been increased by providing service with 2 technicians at the mobile vehicle inspection stations and performing 32 vehicle inspections per day instead of 64.”
