The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) General Directorate of the Tanzania Railway Company (TRC) entered the tender for the Railway Line whose construction is about to be completed, within the scope of the "Operation and Maintenance Capacity Development Consultancy Services for the Operation and Maintenance of the Standard Railroad Line".
TCDD will undertake an important mission in the international arena
If the tender opened by Tanzania Railways (TRC) is won, TCDD will provide management and consultancy services on the Dar Es Salaam-Morogoro Line with its 165 years of knowledge and specialized human resources. When the 1.224 km line in Tanzania is completed; Uganda, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania will be connected and East Africa will open to the Indian Ocean.
For the consultancy and capacity building tender, which will last for 3 years at the first stage, TCDD has prepared a methodology and business plan for the determination of TRC personnel, how to carry out the pre-operation, operation phase and handover phase. TCDD had previously provided training/consultancy services in the field of railways within the scope of potential cooperation areas and experience sharing between the two railway companies.
