Revised simplified travel rules came into effect as part of Qatar's COVID-19 measures. With the new update, the 'green', 'red' and 'extraordinary red' list came into effect along with the previous 'amber' list and the restrictions were lifted. For unvaccinated children under the age of 11 – provided they are accompanied by fully vaccinated family members – the quarantine requirement has disappeared. 188 countries have been listed as 'green' and all countries on this list and all their travel policies (known as “MoPH” for short) are posted on the Ministry of Public Health website.

Berthold Trenkel, Qatar Tourism Operations Director, said: “We are excited to continue to expand our tourism offering and offer our visitors the best of Middle Eastern hospitality and enable them to experience new and undiscovered adventures in Qatar. We also look forward to inviting young children to this family fun destination. With the weather getting colder, now is the time to travel to Qatar and take a winter sun getaway!”

Non-residents in Qatar should register via the pre-registration platform on the ehteraz.gov.qa website before they travel and upload all necessary documents such as PCR test, vaccination certificate or other relevant documents 24 to 72 hours before arriving in the country.
