Izmir Metropolitan Municipality donated two boats to Beydağ Fisheries Cooperative within the scope of support for small producers. Speaking at the delivery ceremony in Beydağ, the President Tunç Soyer“One of the most beautiful plains of the Aegean is under water due to the dam and agriculture is not possible. For this reason, we delivered two boats to our cooperative to revive the fishery in Beydağ. We will continue," he said.
Continuing its support to the small producer by increasing, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality donated two boats to Beydağ Fisheries Cooperative. Speaking at the boat delivery ceremony in Beydağ, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, stating that agricultural lands were lost due to the dam built in 2007, said, “One of the most beautiful plains of the Aegean has been flooded due to the dam and agriculture is no longer possible. For the local people, this means a serious loss of income. At the request of our Beydağ Mayor Feridun Yılmazlar, we started a study to see if we can revive fisheries in the region. We gave two boats to our fishermen to support our cooperative. We will continue," he said.

Beydağ Mayor Feridun Yılmazlar thanked Mayor Soyer and said, “One of the three most beautiful plains in the world is no longer farming, but fishing. Our President Tunç Soyerprovided boat support to fishermen to catch fish and to support the families of nearly 50 of our cooperative partners. Thank you very much,” he said.
