IMM is implementing the Blockchain application, one of the world's latest technological infrastructures, in Istanbul. BlokZincir Project, which will be the first public application in Turkey, received the first prize from International Data Corporation (IDC), one of the most important technology authorities in the world.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has taken another important step in the 'smart city' applications, which have an important place in its 2050 vision. IMM is preparing to implement the Blockchain (Smartus) Project, one of the world's most advanced technologies, in Istanbul. With the BlokZincir project, it will securely store all data about the services that citizens receive from the municipality.
DIGITAL WALLET FOR CITIZENS
Within the scope of the project, a digital wallet service will be offered to Istanbul residents. Thus, citizens will be able to easily access all data in the units they receive service from. Thanks to the BlokZincir Project, citizens will be provided with great convenience, especially in the supply of documents and documents.
The project will be implemented in İSKİ, İGDAŞ and İSMEK in the first stage. Citizens will be able to protect their documents safely by keeping their course certificates at İSMEKs in their digital wallets. At the same time, they will have the opportunity to make natural gas and water subscriptions through this technology.
These online services of IMM will be offered to citizens in accordance with KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law). Thanks to BlokZincir, the same documents will not have to be given over and over, and both the process, printed documents and time will be saved.
GREAT TECHNOLOGY AWARD TO IMM
BlokZincir (Smartus) project won first place in IDC Turkey Digital Transformation 2021 awards organized by International Data Corporation (IDC), one of the most important organizations in the IT industry.
IDC is one of the most important organizations in the information technology industry, known for its 57 years of experience and its work in the field of technology in more than 110 countries. IMM, with its BlokZincir (Smartus) application, won the first prize in the Future of Work category, leaving its competitors behind.
