In the breast cancer awareness event organized in cooperation with the Near East University Hair Care and Beauty Services Department and the Association for Helping Cancer Patients (KHYD), hair and beauty treatments were provided to women struggling with breast cancer.
In October, which is accepted as "Breast Cancer Awareness and Awareness Month" all over the world, activities organized to draw attention to breast cancer continue. In the breast cancer awareness event organized in cooperation with the Near East University Hair Care and Beauty Services Department and the Association for Helping Cancer Patients (KHYD), women who struggled with breast cancer were given hair and beauty treatments to boost their morale.

During the event held on the Near East University campus, skin, hair and nail care was given to 10 women struggling with breast cancer by the first and second year students of the Department of Hair Care and Beauty Services. At the end of the event, the Board Member of the Association for Helping Cancer Patients, Sevgi Alibaba, gave a speech by Near East University Hair Care and Beauty Services Department Head Assist. Assoc. Dr. Yeşim Üstün Aksoy was given a plaque of appreciation.

Stating that with the event they carried out, they aimed to give morale to women struggling with breast cancer and to raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer treatment, Assist. Assoc. Dr. Yeşim Üstün Aksoy said, “Let's not postpone life and ourselves. We can beat breast cancer with early diagnosis and treatment. Assist. Assoc. Dr. Aksoy said, “With our event, we wanted to raise awareness about breast cancer to the society and to support our women, even a little, in this difficult process. Glad we were able to succeed," he said.
