Work continues on the Karavanke Tunnel, which will connect eight countries in Europe and is expected to be completed in 2025. The construction of the Karavanke Tunnel, which reaches Austria via Slovenia and is considered the most important point in the road network connecting the Mediterranean, the Balkans and Central Europe, continues at full speed. The project, for which Cengiz İnşaat won the tender for reconstruction, is expected to be completed in 2025.

One end of the tunnel to the Alps is in Austria and the other end is in Slovenia. The Slovenian part of the tunnel, which has a total length of approximately eight kilometers, is located on the highway line connecting eight countries with heavy traffic and consists of 3,5 kilometers.

In the statement made by Cengiz İnşaat, it was stated that the height of the first floor of the tunnel would be five meters and that this place would be used for vehicle traffic, while it was stated that the second floor to be built at a height of two meters would consist of ventilation. The construction of the Austrian part of the tunnel was undertaken by the local firm. (Turkeynewspaper)
