Call for 'Metro' to President Erdogan CHP Adana Deputy Dr. Müzeyyen Şevkin said that due to Adana Light Rail System Project, most of the income of Adana residents is under mortgage.
Calling President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), Dr. Şevkin said, “As you promised, put an end to the nightmare of the rail system, which owes even unborn children in Adana. Transfer AHRSP to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and approve the 2nd stage rail system project waiting on your desk.”
CHP Adana Deputy Müzeyyen Şevkin made a statement regarding the Adana Light Rail System Project. Stating that the current debt of the project is 1 billion 200 million liras, Şevkin said:
“The Adana light rail system, which started to be built in 1996, cost 535 million dollars. However, today, 1 billion 200 million lira debt still continues. Even the unborn child is born in debt due to the subway in Adana. Although the President made a promise in every election period, he did not transfer it to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
“Although the feasibility studies of the projects related to the Akıncılar-University-Stadium 2nd Stage Light Rail System (HRS) projected by Adana Metropolitan Municipality were updated technically and financially and submitted to the President, they have not been approved for 9 months. The income of Adana Metropolitan Municipality is almost under mortgage due to the rail system. President; As promised, we are calling to put an end to the nightmare of the rail system that owes even unborn children in Adana.”
