Fuzuli International Airport, which will be inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, was completed in 8 months.

The first airport built by Azerbaijan in the lands liberated from occupation will be put into service tomorrow with a ceremony attended by Presidents Erdogan and Aliyev. President Erdogan will be the first head of state to land at Fuzuli International Airport.

Fuzuli Airport, the foundation of which was laid by President Aliyev on January 14, 2021, has come to accept planes in 8 months in accordance with the highest international standards. The first test flight to the airport was carried out on 22 August.

The runway of the airport is 3 meters long and 60 meters wide. Its terminal has the capacity to serve 200 passengers per hour. All wide-body aircraft, including large cargo aircraft, will be able to land and take off easily at Fuzuli Airport. Fuzuli International Airport, where international flights will also be made, will thus be Karabakh's gateway to the world.

Tourists going to Shusha, the symbolic city of Karabakh, will also be transported via Fuzuli Airport. The airport is expected to contribute to the development of tourism and trade in the region. The airport is approximately 100 kilometers from Shusha and 300 kilometers from the capital Baku.
