Within the scope of the Akçaray tram line project, which will be extended from Plajyolu to Kuruçeşme, a part of the D-100 Highway has been taken to its new location recently. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality teams are now assembling one of the two new pedestrian overpasses within the scope of the project. The assembly works, which started at night, continued until the evening hours on Sunday, October 3rd.

63 METERS LONG

Within the scope of Kuruçeşme Tram Line project, two new pedestrian overpasses made of steel are being built. Within the scope of the work, the main platform of the first of the 63 meters long pedestrian overpasses was installed. The works, which started at 2:23.00 on Saturday, October 3, continued until the evening hours on Sunday, October XNUMX. After the main body assembly, railings, stairs, elevators and wooden coatings on the floor will be manufactured on the overpass. Footwork is being carried out for the other pedestrian overpass to be built in front of Izmit High School.

290 METERS LENGTH TRAM OVERPASS

The existing Akçaray Tram Line will be connected to Kuruçeşme by passing from Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of D-100 upon completion of the works. In order to provide this transition, the Tramway Overpass with a length of 290 meters and a length of 9 legs and 8 spans is being built. Bored piles are produced for the construction of the middle legs of the tram overpass.

TRAM LINE WILL REACH 23,4 KILOMETERS

With the completion of the Kuruçeşme tram line, the length of the Akçaray tram line will reach a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters. The single-line length of the tram will reach 3 kilometers, with a 23,4-kilometer single-line warehouse area. With Kuruçeşme station, the number of stops will reach 16.
