Minister Varank inaugurated Konya Model Factory and OSB 5th Section Infrastructures at Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Vocational Training Center. In his speech here, Varank stated that the success graph of the city is constantly on the rise with large-scale investments and said, “The Model Factory, Vocational Training Center, Foreign Trade Center and Smart Technologies Center located in the Technology and Education Campus of the Konya Chamber of Commerce and various infrastructure investments in Konya OIZ are beneficial. Explaining that Konya Model Factory guides businesses towards lean production and digital transformation, Varank said, “In this facility, which was established with an investment of 12 million liras, businesses learn by experience and turn what they learn into practice in the company of mentors. As of now, in this model factory, 13 companies have been provided with learning and return, 33 companies with training and consultancy, and 47 companies with technical diagnosis and diagnosis services. Hopefully, these numbers will increase in the coming period with the efforts of the Model Factory and the efforts of our companies.” said.

Noting that the KTO Education Center also strengthens the education pillar of the ecosystem, Varank said that the 9,5 thousand square meter education campus, which was implemented with an investment of 21 million lira, has 16 classrooms, 5 computer laboratories, conference and seminar halls, and an accommodation center with a capacity of 196 people.

Explaining that the Foreign Trade Center was established to increase the export capacity and market of the region, Minister Varank said, “There are consultancy services in areas such as target customers, markets, foreign suppliers, sector details to companies that want to export here.” he said.

Stating that they aim to make agricultural machinery manufacturers more competitive in the international arena by ensuring their adaptation to agriculture 4.0 at the Smart Technologies Center, Varank said, “With the projects to be developed in cooperation with the university-industry in this center, technological gains will be achieved on one hand and our university students will gain competence on the other.” said.

Varank stated that the official opening of the 5th Section Infrastructure works in Konya Organized Industrial Zone was also carried out. Explaining that there are environments for cooperation with facilities such as OIZs, innovation centers, storage areas and conference halls, Varank said, “In addition, services that will increase the efficiency of enterprises in OIZs with infrastructures such as electricity, natural gas, water and communication, waste water treatment plants, solar power plants. offers. With this new investment that we have opened, the waste water network, rain water network and fiber line investments of the 5th part of the OIZ have been realized. With the completion of the ongoing parts, these investments will reach a value of 560 million liras.” he said.

After the speeches, Minister Varank and his entourage opened the Model Factory and the centers on the campus.

Afterwards, Varank visited the factory on the campus and received information from Selçuk Öztürk, Head of KTO.
