PTT AŞ General Manager Hakan Gülten explained the 'Turkey Card' application, which will enable the public transportation cards used by different cities to become a single transportation card, and said, "You will be able to get on the public transportation vehicles in Konya with a card you bought in Istanbul."
Those who take the bus in İzmir use İzmirim Kart and in Ankara they use AnkaraKart. However, the use of these cards may have come to an end. Hakan Gülten, General Manager of PTT AŞ, said that a single card will now be used, valid in all cities.
In the statements made in this context, it was said: “Our Turkey Card application is also an application that has been discussed and decisions have been taken in the previous councils. Türkiye Kart will enable the public transportation cards used by different cities to be transformed into a single transportation card. For example, with a card you bought in Istanbul, you will be able to take the public transportation vehicles in Konya if Turkey Card features are available… Our Ministry announced this feature in order to encourage all our municipalities in Turkey to have the Turkey Card feature for public transportation cards.
He sent an invitation letter to all municipalities saying 'revise the public transportation systems with the scheme and technology described by Türkiye Kart, so that all cards can pass with each other'. We expect support in this regard. We have made agreements with many municipalities and we have completed our technical integration. We started these transactions in Konya. We want Turkey Card application to be passed in all public transportation channels made by our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Türkiye Kart will prevent card stack and millions of lira expense. An exemplary technology in the world.”
