Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 28 house sales and 229%. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 19,2 thousand 14 house sales and 218% share, and İzmir with 9,7 thousand 8 house sales and 806% share. The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were Hakkari with 6,0 houses, Ardahan with 14 houses and Şırnak with 41 houses, respectively.

2 thousand 270 houses were sold for the first time in Izmir

The number of houses sold for the first time in İzmir increased by 0,2% compared to the same month of the previous year and became 2 thousand 270. The share of the first sales in total house sales in İzmir was 25,8%.

The number of first-hand house sales in Turkey increased by 6,3% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 43 thousand 967. The share of first hand house sales in total house sales was 29,9%.

6 thousand 536 houses changed hands in second hand house sales in İzmir

Second hand house sales in İzmir increased by 11,0% compared to the same month of the previous year and became 6 thousand 536. The share of second-hand house sales in total house sales in İzmir was 74,2%.

Second-hand house sales in Turkey increased by 8,2% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 103 thousand 176. The share of second hand house sales in total house sales was 70,1%.

Mortgaged house sales in İzmir amounted to 986 thousand

Mortgaged house sales in İzmir decreased by 17,5% compared to the same month of the previous year and became 986. 22,6% of the houses sold in September were mortgaged sales. First sales accounted for 18,6% of mortgaged sales and second hand sales for 81,4%.

Mortgaged house sales across Turkey decreased by 16,4% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 29 thousand 759. The share of mortgaged sales in total house sales was 20,2%. Mortgaged house sales in the January-September period, on the other hand, decreased by 64,3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 181.

Buca ranks first in house sales

In the districts with a population of over 150 thousand and a high number of house sales, the highest number of house sales in İzmir was realized in Buca in September 2021. In September 2021, 1 069 houses were sold in Buca, while 834 houses were sold in Buca. Karşıyaka, Bornova with 691 house sales, Menemen with 688 house sales, Karabağlar with 655 house sales, Torbalı with 650 house sales, Çiğli with 604 house sales, Konak with 523 house sales and 309 house sales Bayraklı followed.
