The International Red Crescent Friendship Short Film Festival, which will be held for the fourth time this year, will meet with moviegoers between 1-5 December.

Applications for the 4th International Red Crescent Friendship Short Film Festival, organized by Balkon Film with the support of the TR Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the General Directorate of Cinema, and which will be held under the umbrella of the Turkish Red Crescent, have ended. 4 films from 5 countries from 50 continents applied to the 448th International Red Crescent Friendship Film Festival, which was held this year in memory of Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli.

50 Applications from 448 Countries!

Expressing that the festival, which attracted great attention on national and international platforms, received applications from all over the world, Festival Director Faysal Soysal stated that 50 films from 448 countries applied to the 4th International Red Crescent Friendship Short Film Festival. Stating that the finalists will be announced at the press conference to be held on Tuesday, November 2, Soysal said that the quality of the films applied for the finalists increases every year and they are proud that professional directors have discovered and applied to the festival. Soysal continued his words as follows; “Our goal is to bring together the most exclusive, original, artistic and friendly selections in Turkey with the audience, and to broaden the horizons of cinema and our art culture as much as possible with the original and free language of the short film. We have achieved some of our goals and dreams, and we are aware that we need to work harder for the rest. With the support of our friends, we hope to leave a good and beautiful legacy to the young people who will take the path of making films after us. The festival, which set out with the intention of re-reading the concept of friendship with the power of cinema, thinking and increasing its reflections in our lives, is taking firm steps forward. It was a breath of fresh air for moviegoers with its theme and selection of quality films, events and interviews that brought together guests from abroad, and original designed catalogues. The festival, which has become more important every year, has established a sincere bridge between cinema and friendship with the applications it accepted from all over the world this year.

Faysal Soysal, who won the Best Film and Best Editing Awards in . Director and actress Afsaneh Pakroo, who has worked as a director at the same time as a director and won various awards, is a screenwriter and director at the Sinegraf production company, working on project development with Seven Arts Pictures, one of the important film companies of Hollywood, and broadcast on TRT. Aybars Bora Kahyaoğlu, the director of documentaries titled Flour Cities, Enemies of Sports, Changing Cities, is the curator of many exhibitions abroad and in Turkey "Legal Legal". 20 Person Limit in Participation

In addition to this, productions in different formats such as documentary, animation, experimental and video-art, with a duration not exceeding 30 minutes, without the limit of the production year, can also apply to the non-competition screening category. These productions will be evaluated by the decision of the Pre-Jury in one of the Forty Years of Memory, Panorama and Human Perspective sections of the festival.

At the festival, where nearly 100 thousand cash prizes were awarded last year, considerable cash prizes and surprise technical support awards will be given to support short films and their directors this year.
