President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan went on a four-day tour of Angola, Togo and Nigeria on Sunday, October 18th. It is expected that the economic relations between Turkey and Africa will be further strengthened with the visits to Togo, one of the countries with high potential, along with Nigeria and Angola, one of the largest economies in Africa.
The visit, which covers Angola, Nigeria and Togo and is considered to strengthen the relations between Turkey and Africa, once again brought up the continent's interest in Turkey. Africa, where Turkey has made significant investments in every field from economy to education, is almost looking for its future in Turkey.
THEY WILL USE IT TO FIGHT BOKO HARAM
President Erdogan's last stop on his African tour, Nigeria, has aspired to the UAVs and SİHAs produced by Turkey in the fight against the terrorist organization BOKO Haram. Ethiopia and Morocco also aspired to domestic UAVs and SİHAs, which many countries kept their eyes on. The two countries made a request to purchase UAVs and SİHAs produced by Baykar Defense in Turkey.
