On October 28, additional YHTs will be operated between Ankara and Istanbul due to the eve of the Republic Day. In order to meet the increasing passenger demand on the Ankara-Istanbul-Ankara route by TCDD Transportation General Directorate, additional flights will be added and 816 additional seat capacity will be provided. In order to meet the increasing demand for high speed trains (YHT) operated by TCDD Transportation General Directorate, an additional reciprocal expedition will be organized between Ankara-Istanbul-Ankara on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On the YHTs, where 59 million passengers have traveled since they entered service, an average of 10 thousand passengers are carried daily, while more than half of this travels between Ankara and Istanbul.

Travel demands increase regularly on weekends

There are 40 daily flights between Ankara-Istanbul, Ankara-Konya, Ankara-Eskişehir and Istanbul-Konya cities, and there is an increase in travel demands on weekends.

In line with the increasing demands, an additional YHT service will be put between Ankara-Istanbul-Ankara on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the first of which will start on Friday, October 22. With these flights, a daily capacity of 816 additional seats will be provided.

On additional flights, trains will depart from Ankara at 09.35 and arrive in Istanbul/Söğütlüçeşme at 14.15, depart from Istanbul/Söğütlüçeşme at 15.25 and arrive in Ankara at 20.24.

In addition, on October 28, due to the eve of the Republic Day, additional additional flights will depart between Ankara and Istanbul at the same time.
