11 More Medicines Added to Reimbursement List

Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, announced that they put 1 more drugs on the reimbursement list, including 1 for cancer, 1 for the treatment of heart disease in premature babies, and 11 for the treatment of excessive postpartum hemorrhage. Bilgin stated that 2 of these drugs are domestic production.

Minister Vedat Bilgin announced on the Official website of the Social Security Institution that a total of 9 drugs, 2 of which are imported and 11 of which are domestic production, which were decided to be added to the list with the Social Security Institution (SGK) Health Implementation Communique (SUT) regulation.

Bilgin stated that the number of drugs paid by the SSI will reach 11, 8 thousand 362 in the domestic drug list and 380 in the foreign drug list, with the latest 8 drugs added to the reimbursement list and the regulations made. He noted that there has been a 742 percent increase in the monthly cash prices paid for the vitally important special-formulated flour and special formula-containing products used by patients with celiac disease and celiac disease due to their restricted diets.

Stating that citizens can obtain drugs from pharmacies contracted with the Social Security Institution, Minister Bilgin said, "I hope that the drugs will heal our patients, and I wish our citizens a healthy life."

Of the drugs in question, 1 is cancer medicine, 1 is antidepressant drug, 3 is immunosuppressant drug, 3 is immunoglobulin, 1 is medicine used in the treatment of heart disease in premature babies, 1 is medicine used in the treatment of excessive bleeding after cesarean section, 1 is digestive system and metabolism medicine.
