The General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the "Genealogy Creation" service, where citizens can design pedigrees by using their lower and upper pedigree information, based on the intense interest shown in the lower-upper lineage inquiry service offered through the e-Government Gateway.
With the genealogy creation service of the Ministry, it took another step in the field of digital transformation and added a new one to the public services that citizens can access electronically. Thanks to this new service, citizens will be able to create their pedigrees without going to the civil registry offices.
Family Lineage Can Be Learned Until the 1800s
Thanks to the population registers kept electronically within the scope of the Central Population Management System (MERNIS) Project by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs, information on parental lineage can be obtained easily.
Since the information kept in MERNİS is based on the information obtained from the general population census conducted in 1904 during the Ottoman Period, it provides the opportunity to access the records of people who were born until the 1800s.
How is a pedigree created?
Genealogy creation can be done on the e-Government Gateway or on the website of the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs.
To create your pedigree from the e-Government Gateway, after verifying your identity at turkiye.gov.tr using secure identity verification tools with your TR identity number and e-Government password, choose the "General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs / Genealogy Creation" service and choose the electronic document of your pedigree. can be obtained.
Or, you can access the relevant service by choosing e-Services / e-Questions / Genealogy Inquiry service from nvi.gov.tr and logging in with e-government.
Densities that can be experienced have been taken into account
The General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs also took into account the high demand for e-Government services, one of the most demanded e-Government services. The pedigree creation service will be able to respond to 200 requests per minute. In addition, while planning the service, various designs consisting of 8 different backgrounds, 5 different frames and 4 different color options were created rather than using a single design.
By using the elements of these designs, citizens can get their pedigrees; will be able to edit the background design, text fonts, text colors, frame designs, frame colors, tree node layout and locations according to their own visual liking, and will be able to print out high-resolution documents and store them as souvenirs.
