Kadıköy The Cartoon Festival started in Yoghurtçu Park. The festival will host colorful events from artist talks to lively drawings, exhibitions and auctions until September 26.

The opening of the festival, which will last for 3 days, started with a talk on the Mongols, moderated by author Güven Erkin Erkal. The opening program was organized in memory of the cartoonist Kaan Ertem, who passed away in June, who helped bring the Mongols group together again.

After the talk, the Mongols gave a concert. Comic books, cartoon magazines and their products meet with the enthusiasts at the stands set up in the festival area. The program includes workshops for children as well as children's publisher stands.

AUCTION MEETING

In the auction section, which is a pleasant habit for collectors, rare magazines and drawings of the cartoon and cartoon world will be auctioned. The auction, which will be organized by the Comic Book Readers Association on Sunday, September 26, will be held between 15.00-18.00.

FILM SCREENS

Two films will be screened in the festival program this year. On Saturday, September 25, at 21.00, Oscar-winning Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki's movie “The Walking Castle” will be able to be watched. It will also be screened in “Spider-Man in the Spider-Verse” directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman on Sunday, September 26 at 21.00 PM.
