In line with the goal of Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer to turn Izmir into a city of culture and art, metro stations are being reconsidered and turned into an art gallery. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organized the "Wall Surface Applications Competition" for the metro stations for the first time in order to enrich the cultural texture of the city and bring art to daily life. The works of the artists selected in the competition will adorn the walls of the metro stations, where thousands of Izmir residents pass by every day.

4 stations, 8 facades

Applications continue for the national competition for innovative artistic wall surface applications in addition to traditional techniques such as tiles, ceramics, mosaics and reliefs at 8 points on the passenger entrance and exit axes of Basmane, Çankaya, Konak and Fahrettin Altay metro stations.
