IMM Secretary General Can Akın Çağlar, Deputy Secretary Generals İbrahim Orhan Demir and Murat Yazıcı, Head of Transportation Department Utku Cihan, Head of Road Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department Seyfullah Demirel, Head of Fire Brigade Remzi Albayrak provided traffic coordination throughout the city for 4 hours.

Representatives of Istanbul Police, Provincial Gendarmerie Command, General Directorate of Highways, Istanbul Union of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (İSTESOB), Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), Istanbul Public Service Vehicle Operators Tradesmen's Chamber (İSAROD) were also present at AKOM for traffic coordination. By working in coordination, accidents and blocked roads were immediately intervened. Public transportation vehicles, which provide free service, attracted the attention of the citizens.

Stating that there has not been a serious density in Istanbul traffic since the morning hours, İBB Transportation Department Head Utku Cihan said, “Today, the traffic density has increased to 63 percent. We immediately intervened in the blocked roads with law enforcement officers and in accidents with tow trucks that we kept ready on site. During the working days before the school opened, the traffic density was up to 58's. Therefore, the school did not have a great impact on the traffic in the city. It was the start of a healthy school year,” he said.

On the other hand, a traffic accident involving a service vehicle and a civilian vehicle occurred at the Ümraniye TEM Connection road underpass in the morning and 5 people were injured. The injured were removed by firefighters and transferred to the hospital by ambulance.
