Kocaeli Gebze V Chemical Specialized OIZ (GEBKİM) delegation met with Adana Governor Süleyman Elban for the new chemistry specialization OIZ planned to be established in Adana, Yumurtalık. Expressing that GEBKİM is a role model for chemistry specialized OIZs, GEBKİM Chairman of the Board of Directors V. İbrahim Araci said, “The chemistry specialized OIZ investment to be made in Yumurtalık, which is considered one of the most important ports of the Mediterranean, will create value not only for our region but also for Turkey. ” he said.

During the meeting, GEBKİM Chairman of the Board of Directors V. İbrahim Araci conveyed to the Governor that they are ready to invest in the Ceyhan Yumurtalık Chemical Specialized OIZ, which is planned to be established in Adana.
ATTRACTING FOREIGN INVESTORS TO THE REGION WITH THE NEW OSB
At the meeting, where the investment agreement signed with the petro-chemistry giant Tatneft and the cooperation protocol signed with the Uzbekistan chemical group Uzkimyosanoat were also mentioned, a place request was made by the GEBKİM Delegation for the Ceyhan Yumurtalık Chemical Specialized OIZ. GEBKİM Chairman of the Board of Directors V. İbrahim Araci stated that GEBKİM has gained great respect and admiration in the field of chemistry not only in our country but also abroad, with the international agreements and protocols it has signed recently. Stating that GEBKİM Industrialists, Turkey's first Chemistry Specialized OIZ, which has a wide experience and knowledge in the field of chemistry, are ready to invest in Ceyhan Yumurtalık Chemistry Specialized OIZ, Vefa İbrahim Araci conveyed that foreign investors may be interested in this region.
PROJECTS TO CONTRIBUTE TO ADANA'S DEVELOPMENT
In the meeting, it was also mentioned that the social environment in the region is enriched with the activities such as GEBKİM Kindergarten and GEBKİM Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which are put into service by the GEBKİM Education, Research and Health Foundation, which contributes to the development of the region as well as the opportunities offered by GEBKİM to the industrialists.
GREEN LIGHT FOR INVESTMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR OF ADANA
Adana Governor Süleyman Elban stated that the infrastructure and permission works of Ceyhan Yumurtalık Chemistry Specialized OIZ are continuing, and they will start to give allocations in the near future. Stating that the GEBKİM Delegation met the demands positively and that they were agreed in principle, Elban stated that the investments to be made by expert OIZs such as GEBKİM in this region are very important for Adana and the chemical industry.
