Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Beypazarı-Nallıhan divided road; He noted that as a ministry, they continue to invest with all their strength, regardless of east-west, north-south.

Karaismailoğlu said, "We see each of our projects as a step towards national independence and national economy, and we take steps to realize our holistic development," and added that they will transform the road transportation between Beypazarı and Nallıhan into a much safer, faster and more comfortable way in the divided road standard.

Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows: “With our moves in the land, air, rail, maritime and communication sectors that we have started in our country since 2003, we have made our country a leader in its region and an important crossroads in the world in transportation and communication, on the threshold of the centennial of our Republic. During the AK Party governments, we invested over 1 trillion 118 billion liras for transportation and communication. In the last 19 years, we have built 14 kilometers of single roads and 267 kilometers of divided roads. We increased our divided road length from 22 kilometers to 238 kilometers, the highway length from 6 kilometers to 100 kilometers, and the tunnel length from 28 kilometers to 339 kilometers."

Underlining that they aim to increase the length of the Divided Road to 2023 thousand kilometers in 30, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu emphasized that they built the roads equipped with smart transportation systems.

“WE WILL FULFILL THE HOPES OF THOSE WHO ARE WORKING FOR TURKEY TO QUALIFY”

Karaismailoğlu noted that they produced projects for the development of Turkey, the opening of new employment opportunities and the growth of the economy, and drew attention to the politics of work and service. Karaismailoğlu, “As we have said at every opportunity; We will frustrate the hopes of those who are trying to make Turkey count in its place. We have left the enthusiasm of those who want Turkey to be governed as 50 years ago.

We will continue to offer these projects to the service of our nation tomorrow, just as we realized the vision projects that will develop our country despite the domestic outbreaks yesterday.”

WE INCREASED THE LENGTH OF THE DIVIDED ROAD IN ANKARA TO 172 KM

Referring to the investments made in Ankara, Karaismailoğlu made the following evaluations:

“During the AK Party governments, we invested approximately 81 billion 764 million liras for Ankara's transportation and communication. We increased the length of the divided highway in Ankara to 172 kilometers. I would particularly like to emphasize that nearly 2 percent of the 60-kilometer road network in Ankara is of divided highway standard. Between 2002 and 2020, we built and improved 163 kilometers of single roads in our capital in terms of highways. We realized 686 kilometers of hot bituminous coating. While the amount of road investments made in the capital city between 1993 and 2002 was only 2 billion 708 million, we increased this amount to 12 billion 759 million liras during the period of our governments.”

IT WILL BE AN ALTERNATIVE OF THE ANKARA-ISTANBUL ROAD

Stating that the total project value of the ongoing 29 highway investments in Ankara is over 5 billion 549 million liras, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “Our Beypazarı-Nallıhan Divided Road is one of these 29 important highway projects. Our alternative highway line, which connects South Marmara and Istanbul in the west of Ankara, is also extremely important as it will remedy the increasing transportation needs of our important industrial establishments on the route. While our divided road connects two important districts of Ankara in the direction of Istanbul, it will also be an alternative to the existing Ankara-Istanbul road. With the previous work on the 59-kilometer state road between Beypazarı and Nallıhan, 30,6 kilometers of the road was put into service. Our new project is to upgrade the line, which will start from the Çayırhan Bridge and the connection tunnel and end at the Nallıhan district entrance, to the 2×2 lane divided road standard from a single road.”

THE BRIDGES ARE PREPARED WITH GREAT DEFICIT TO NOT AFFECT WILDLIFE

Emphasizing that they work in the light of policies that give special importance to all projects and serve the environment, nature and people that guide the practices, Karaismailoğlu said that the works of Çayırhan Bridge and Connection Tunnel are continuing intensively in order not to harm the birds in the 5 kilometer section of Nallıhan Kuş Cenneti area.

Stating that they built a double bridge with a length of 262 meters in the continuation of the 270-meter-long tunnel, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu concluded his speech as follows:

“These bridges have been prepared with great devotion so that birds and wildlife are not affected. Our approach in this project comes from the sensitivity of our ancestors who established a private foundation and hospital for migratory birds. We are planning to complete our 23,4 kilometers long, 2×2 lane road project in 2023 and put it into service. When our Beypazarı-Nallıhan Divided Road is completed, it will bring vitality to the historical, touristic and economic life of the region, as well as providing uninterrupted safe transportation. Travel time will be reduced to 14 minutes. Thus, we will save a total of 5 million liras, 4 million liras from time and 9 million liras from fuel, in one year. Annual carbon emission reduction will be 524 tons. The project will be an important alternative to the existing Ankara-Bolu-Düzce-Istanbul route.”

After the ceremony, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu visited Nallıhan Mayor İsmail Öntaş and Nallıhan Ak Party District Presidency.
