The 100% electric new generation service vehicle Tragger is now being made driverless by FEV Turkey engineers. Tragger's autonomy tests begin in Turkey's technology and innovation hub, Informatics Valley, which is also the scene of Robotaksi Autonomous Vehicle Races and where FEV is also in its ecosystem. The autonomous Tragger, which is scheduled to be commercialized in 2022, will debut in the European and US markets.

THEY JOINED THEIR POWERS

FEV Turkey, which provides engineering services in the fields of vehicle development, software, autonomous driving, conventional and electric propulsion systems in the automotive sector, and Tragger, which develops electric vehicles with domestic and national facilities in Bursa, combined their forces in Informatics Valley. Work has begun to make the Tragger electric utility vehicle, which bears the same name as the company, driverless.

WILL BE REACHED TO LEVEL 4

Tragger brand vehicles; It carries cargo and people in areas such as factories, warehouses, airports, campuses and ports. Electric Tragger vehicles produced in Bursa Hasanağa Organized Industrial Zone will be brought to level 4 autonomy by FEV Turkey. For this purpose, a sensor set consisting of 7 lidars, 1 radar and 1 camera was designed.

IT CAN ALSO BE CONTROLLED ON THE INTERNET

With these sensors, the vehicle will be able to detect the surrounding environment 360 degrees. It will be able to separate moving objects up to 80 meters and calculate the probability of collision. Thanks to the high-resolution camera and artificial intelligence-based image processing algorithms, it will be able to distinguish between lanes, pedestrians or obstacles. Thanks to the software infrastructure and connection module on it, the vehicle will be controlled over the internet network and the data will be collected in the cloud environment.

YOU WILL MAKE THE DECISIONS YOURSELF

FEV Turkey General Manager Dr. Stating that they equipped the vehicle with optical sensors, camera and radar, Taner Göçmez said, “We are developing the software and other autonomous driving functions that allow the integration of these sensors and the ability to make all these decisions on its own, by adjusting the gas brake from point A to point B fully autonomously, stopping when an obstacle is in front of it. ” said.

REQUEST FROM CUSTOMERS

Tragger Co-Founder Saffet Çakmak noted that the vehicle is currently used to transport personnel or cargo in logistics areas within the factory, where control is easy, and said, “We have seen that it is easy to automate in these areas. Such requests began to come from our potential customers. It is an honor to be supported by Bilişim Vadisi.” he said.

MARKET STUDIES STARTED

Tragger Co-Founder Ali Serdar Emre stated that they have a maneuverable, quiet and environmentally friendly vehicle and said, “On top of that comes autonomy. So we are excited. In the first quarter of 2022, we aim to make it commercially available at specific locations we have identified. We have started these studies in the markets we have identified, such as Europe, America, the Middle East, and North Africa.” said.

Tragger vehicles have a load carrying capacity of 700 kilograms and a towing capacity of 2 tons. It can climb 17% incline when loaded. The vehicle can travel in two different options, fast or slow. The vehicle's battery reaches 220 percent charge in 6 hours with 100V conventional mains current.

TURNKEY ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, FEV Turkey offers hybrid and electric vehicle systems, vehicle electronics, software development and functional safety, autonomous driving, engine, transmission, vehicle development and integration, calibration and verification services of these technologies. With its local and global turnkey projects, İTÜ ARI Teknokent carries out engineering exports from its offices in Teknopark İstanbul, Bilişim Vadisi and ODTÜ Teknokent.

PRODUCES DOMESTIC ELECTRIC VEHICLES

Located in Bursa, Tragger has been providing engineering and design services in the automotive field for more than 20 years. The company, which has been producing 2018% electric vehicles since 100, produces different models in many areas from airports to factories. Tragger vehicles, which are used for the purpose of human transfer as well as freight transport, draw attention with their vehicles with domestic capital, design and engineering.
