Konami Digital Entertainment, BV announced in this week's Nintendo Direct broadcast that the Castlevania Advance Collection is now available for desktop PCs via Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Steam.
The collection includes Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, some of the most critically acclaimed games in the Castlevania series. Additionally, there is a fourth bonus game in the collection: the SNES game Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss (also known as 'Dracula X' in the US) released in 1995.
The Castlevania Advance Collection Development team expressed their feelings, saying, “We wanted more people to be able to experience the Castlevania series, especially the action/adventure games, because they are all masterpieces that can still be enjoyed today. We realized that there are very few games that are truly playable on consoles today, and we started building the Castlevania Advance Collection. We've decided to give this version a multiplatform launch so that as many people as possible can enjoy these games on their consoles.
The Castlevania series celebrates its 35th anniversary this year thanks to the support of its fans and of course everyone involved in its development. Along with access to these four timeless classics, the Castlevania Advance Collection offers players brand new features to enhance their gaming experience. Music-loving players will have instant access to and listen to a total of 71 iconic Castlevania songs, including hidden ones, and create their own customizable playlists to listen to their favorite songs over and over again. They'll also be able to get a never-before-seen glimpse into the game's visual world through the in-game gallery of sketches. The previously unseen visuals and different package designs in the collection are also details that may attract the attention of the fans of the series.
The Castlevania Advance Collection also includes a special section where you can get information about enemies, equipment, items and much more. Players will be able to save, replay or rewind their gameplay at any time so that no zones or enemies are overlooked. About Castlevania Advance Collection Games
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon tells the story of Nathan Graves, a vampire hunter's apprentice who enters Dracula's Castle with his master. In the game, Nathan tries to prevent the Count's terrible return planned by Camilla.
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance chronicles the battle of Juste Belmont, the grandson of legendary Vampire Slayer Simon Belmont, against Dracula. This game brought many new features to the series such as the 'Boss Rush' mode and the 'Spell Fusion' system.
