The 2021 applications of BASE, which has a polyphonic selection committee that includes valuable names from the art world every year; Aslı Sümer, Burak Delier, Çağrı Saray, Defne Casaretto, Derya Yücel, Gülçin Aksoy, Memed Erdener, Melek Gençer, Necla Rüzgâr, Nermin Kura, Nilüfer Şamazer, Oğuz Erten, Orhan Cem Çetin, Sarp Evliyagil, Seçkin Pirim and Serhat Kiraz evaluated.

BASE's curator Derya Yücel describes this year's theme of Turkey's joint graduation exhibition BASE, “Resonance” as follows. “For five years, BASE's 2021 selection, which has created a common vibration and holistic energy field that enables creative transmissions to come to life, centers on the concept of “resonance” as a metaphor. Because BASE shares, reproduces and transfers to the future a resonance field that contains different productions, attitudes, thoughts and orientations, just like many frequencies and complex vibrations. Capturing the same vibrational rhythm in politically, artistically and culturally changing resonances and ensuring the continuity of that rhythm… Maybe this can lead us to a healing that can be born with the shared energy that “Resonance” will create.”
